About Me
Hello, I am Jacob.
I am an engineer who has been working on building robots since I was 8 years old. I loved taking apart electronics to figure out how they work, so I can create something new out of them. I always wanted a world where you have robot stores on every block, buying parts that you need to customize or just to build.
The Vision
This started as a hobby that stemmed from my curiosity and tinkering-mind into building humanoid robots. My mind has always had a way of seeing a device and taking it apart before even touching it. So far it has been a challenge to build them myself through trial-and-error with a steep learning curve, however I continue to press forward to make my dreams come true.
I always wanted to create a company that provides robots that help people perform tasks faster and safer. I was unsure for a while if I was just going to sell my designs because I did not know how feasible it was to create a company. After building my robots more I found that I want to build a company instead. I want to challenge myself and move forward to help others with my ideas, from start to finish - rather than selling my designs with the potential of the buyer selling the final product for unintended purposes.
At the rate that technology is being incorporated into society on a greater scale, I want to play a part in having AI come alongside humans to aid us in doing what we're already doing (not for us, but with us), with robots providing assistance in these ventures - while preserving the spaces that call for a more human-touch.
I will create an LLC company that builds humanoid robots for hospitals, hospice, and search and rescue, improving communication between patients and doctors, while also helping identify injuries faster and save more lives.
How You Can Help
To make this dream come true, I need money.
So far, everything I've done has been entirely self-funded, and while I appreciate the process, to make significant progress, I simply have a greater financial need than I am able to provide on my own.
I'm currently working out of my diningroom workspace in a two-bedroom apartment, shared with my family and roommates, space is limited and the potential for growth is hindered.
Money raised in this fundraiser will go towards:
- Renting warehouse space
- Hiring employees, i.e. more experienced programmers
