Dear friends, colleagues, and kind-hearted supporters,

We’re coming together to help an incredible coworker whose job was abruptly terminated by the ongoing efforts to downsize the federal workforce. Jake was a hard-working and valued member of our team who brought infectious energy and much-needed humor to an otherwise tedious and taxing subject matter. Jake’s termination was due to no fault of his—he simply and most unfortunately had not completed his one-year probationary period in time to avoid the wholesale terminations.

Jake’s abrupt termination leaves him and his family in a difficult financial situation. Jake is a devoted father of two young girls and was the sole provider for his family. This sudden job loss will put an immense strain on their household.

We’re setting a goal of $3,000 to help them stay afloat while they find new opportunities. These funds will go toward their essential expenses like housing, groceries, and bills. Every donation—big or small—will make a difference in helping them get back on their feet.
