Hello everyone,
Writing this was never part of life’s plan.
Our best friend, loving daughter, granddaughter, wife, sister, niece, cousin, and auntie Jaclyn is beginning the battle of a lifetime against a very rare type of cancer. The most difficult words I never imagined I’d have to write.
We are all so lucky and blessed to have Jaclyn in our lives. Time after time she is there for us when we need her the most and selflessly puts everyone else’s well being before herself. Often times in life we take someone like Jaclyn for granted. We expect them to always be the strong one and there for us during our most difficult moments. Now, she needs us more than ever as she embarks on this strenuous journey. But don’t for a second think that she isn’t still the strong fighter we’ve always known and loved.
Jaclyn is in the best hands that medicine has to offer. Her treatment requires specialized care that is not offered on the East coast, so Jaclyn and Andrew will be temporarily relocating to the world renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. They have made the move down this week to begin treatment.
Many of you have been reaching out and asking how you can help. Our families are so grateful and thankful for all of these messages. As you can imagine, this process comes along with expenses that will surely pile up as the days go by. All funds will go towards the uprooting of their lives to Texas, Andrew becoming a full time care giver for Jaclyn, flights, etc.
But even more importantly, each and every prayer for health is heard. Each and every encouraging message sent to Jaclyn is seen and appreciated. So please, keep Jaclyn in your thoughts and prayers as much as you can.
As I said before, writing this was never part of life’s plan. But, with God’s strength, everyone’s well wishes and the fighter mentality that has always been within Jaclyn, she will be right back home soon where we all need her the most.
We love you Jaclyn. Stay strong and fight like hell. You have an army behind your back that will be there each and every moment along the way. You will get through this.
Thank you everyone.
