Hi there, my name is Evan Lawrence. Many of you know me or my family. I am writing this today to request help from our family, friends, and loved ones. My cousin, Jaclyn Sheid, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Jackie and our family have been through some unbearable losses over the last three years. We have had to say goodbye to at least five people we call our loved ones. The last major loss we took was the death of our Uncle Jimmy, Jimmy Gilpin. This unfortunately happened only about six months ago, so we have barely had time to catch our breath.
We do not come from money. We all work very, very hard for everything we have. However, unexpected tragedies like these are expensive and time-consuming. Jaclyn will have to navigate treatment to assist her back into good health. We don't know exactly how long Jaclyn will be going through treatment, but we do know Jackie lives on one income, as she has for so long. When her mother got sick, Jackie found a way to work and still be a caretaker for her mother. She has sacrificed so much for others, so now here I am, asking for support from the community. Our family will be making sacrifices to help Jackie, but we can only do so much.
Jaclyn has grandkids, a daughter, a son, a sister, brothers, aunts, and uncles who love her dearly. We understand as well as anybody that times are tough for everybody. If you have a little extra to donate, please consider doing so. Jackie deserves to obtain treatment without becoming homeless or being unable to pay her bills. Small communities like Marshall, Slater, and Malta Bend often come together in times of crisis, and that's what makes me so proud to be from Marshall. Please take a moment to consider donating. Any donation is welcome, big or small. God bless any person who reads this, and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
