Jackson Le Blanc, a recent high school graduate from Riverside, CA, is one of the people recently taken seriously ill due to the multi-state outbreak of vaping related lung disease. He is hospitalized with vaping related chemical pneumonitis and is currently fighting off sepsis related to this condition. Jackson was a healthy 19-year-old prior to contracting this lung disease. He has been working in Wyoming since graduating from high school but has missed work for two weeks now due to this illness and faces more lost work time in the future as he recovers. Jackson has numerous medical expenses related to his two emergency room visits, initial hospitalization and ambulance transportation to an out of state hospital for more advanced care. His release date from the hospital and long-term prognosis is not yet known. He’s lost 18 pounds in the last two weeks, has had 50 breathing treatments and is facing a long recovery with uncertain lung damage.
