Hi, my name is Shelly Mccool, and I am asking for your support for my nephew Jackson Hayes, a strong and resilient 16-year-old whose life changed in an instant.

Last summer, while on family vacation, Jackson contracted a rare bacterial infection from the ocean. What started as a normal trip quickly turned into a nightmare. Jackson became septic and endured multiple surgeries and required a PICC line for intense IV antibiotics.

Just when it seemed like he was beginning to recover, the unthinkable happened - Jackson suffered a stroke. He missed the entire first semester of school and his sophomore football season, something he had been looking forward to so much.

Despite everything, Jackson kept fighting. But during his recovery, he began experiencing severe, debilitating pain. After countless hospital visits, doctor appointments, and specialist's consultations, he was diagnosed with CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome), a serious condition affecting his central nervous system.

Jackson is now facing one of the toughest battles of his life. The specialized treatment he urgently needs is not available in Oklahoma, forcing him and his family to travel out of state to access a hospital equipped to handle CRPS.
