In Memory of Jackson Darke

After several months of not feeling well, Jackson Darke was diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer days ago at the very young age of 25 — Jackson’s surgeon said he set a new record for his youngest patient ever. To say the least, it’s very uncommon to have colon cancer at this age.
He and his girlfriend, Caroline Freiling, moved to Fresno last year and were both working there until his diagnosis. They made the difficult decision to move back home to Oregon on short notice so Jackson can pursue treatment with the support of family and friends nearby.
Unfortunately Jackson has been forced to take an unpaid leave of absence from work so he has also lost his income during this already difficult time.
This week, he will be getting a port-a-cath placed and meet with an oncologist to discuss a treatment plan. Hopefully, he will have an idea of what to expect soon. No matter what, it won’t be an easy journey and will certainly involve some impressive medical bills.
The support of family and friends means the world to he, Caroline, and their families. All funds raised will go directly to Jackson to be used at his discretion.
If you aren’t able to contribute financially at this time, another great way to support Jackson is by providing he and family with a meal. The link to a meal train that has been created for them is below:
