Help Jacks N Joe survive Covid-19

Writing this is something we never thought we’d have to do. Asking family, friends, and even strangers for help is a position we never planned to be in when we started our business over 10 years ago. Right now we are living and working in unprecedented times. Times that are bringing some to their lowest and others to their highest. Unfortunately for Jacks N Joe, we aren’t in the toilet paper business or backed by a large corporation, we are in the restaurant business, the service industry–serving friends and strangers alike. Our service is personal, it’s a home away from home, and it matters to us. It’s essential to us. What we offer is best done in person and we are going through a time where this isn’t possible. To be who we’ve been for the last 10 years just isn’t possible during a pandemic. We have adapted, pivoted, and shifted our business to take-out and outdoor dining. After 9 months of the State’s and County’s bans and restrictions, with no end date in sight, Jacks N Joe cannot sustain much longer without the heartbreakingly painful task of laying off most of our employees, the backbone of our restaurant. 

What we are asking is not for myself or Mark, but it’s for our employees, it's for Jacks N Joe, it's for us to be able to keep our doors open and keep all our people paid during the holidays and possibly into next year. These are the people you see once a week or maybe a few times. The home that has served you each morning–whether it’s just a normal Wednesday, a birthday, a graduation celebration, or even a hangover, we have loved being there for every moment you’ve shared with us. What we are asking for is to keep Jacks N Joe from becoming another loss in this already devastating year. Money, stability and hope seem to be running low in 2020. Normally this would be the time when Jacks N Joe would give back, but unfortunately we are the ones asking for help and a little bit of hope. Both of those will go a long way for us here at JNJ. Whatever it is you can give, whether a few dollars or ten, will help and not go unforgotten.
