Hello, my name is Jazmin. My daughter’s name is Jacklyn or Jack. She’s 5 years old, non-verbal, doesn’t walk, and is just learning how to eat. We still have no full diagnosis as to what she has. All we know is she has slight cerebral palsy, but per her neurologists, she has something more. We tried applying for help from the state, but unfortunately, we don’t qualify for assistance.

On July 14, she had a severe seizure. She had an EEG, MRI, and a CT scan done, MRI AND CT are clear, however her EEG came back that the right side of her brain is functioning slower than it’s supposed To be. She is going to be high risk for seizures, we have to drive an hour - 3 hours away for her appointments with her specialists. We have insurance but it’s a $40 copay every visit, and we’re currently only down to one vehicle right now. We’ve been working on a diagnosis for about 4 years now, and I’m just tired. I just want to know what our normal is for her.
