Help Jackie's natural cancer medicines, wishes and funeral
Donation protected
My mum Jackie has been in pain since December last year, she had many tests done but it wasn't until the last scan on the MRI that it showed she has incurable pancreatic cancer. Since finding out i have done a lot of research into natural remedies to help with pain and to stop the cancer cells growing. I have been buying her as much as i can afford to and have had a few lovely friends help me which i am so grateful for.
After having a few more procedures to see exactly the full extent of the tumour we were told it is attached to blood vessels which makes it inoperable. My mum has been given a prognosis of 12-18 months if she does the chemo, which we were told all the side effects could make her quality of life very poor and it is not going to change the outcome.
My mum has made the decision not to have the chemotherapy as she would rather have this time feeling more herself and to make some last precious memories, rather than being completely wiped out and feeling ill from the chemo. This would mean not being able to enjoy her last few months, which is completely understandable and we respect her decision, but it means her life is expectancy will be lower.
What matters to her and our family is what we do with the time she has left. We would like to continue the natural remedies as there are more available, however we do not have the funds to buy these. What is also imperative is that we raise some funds towards funeral costs.
My mum is on a state pension, and I am a self employed hairdresser and I have significantly lost income as i am now her career.
One of my mums wishes is to have a family break at a beach house in Sussex where we all went together a few years ago. She has other wishes to visit family across the country to allow her final goodbyes and some financial support would be such a gift.
Anyone who knows my mum, she has been like a mother to many throughout her whole life. She has always contributed to the community, and always been quick to put herself out for others and now is an opportunity to show our love and appreciation.
Thank you for reading this, and we have so much gratitude to those who can give any amount.
With love from Jackie, Tesha & Family x
