Please help Jackie to afford a place to stay rather than on the streets!!

Jackie has lost almost everything. She did manage to save what she could but she still owes the moving company. She is now living in a skilled nursing home/rehab center. Insurance will only pay for a month. PLEASE help her to find an apartment so she has a roof over her head.

My name is Loretta and I live in Homosassa, FL, and Jackie is in Inverness. Jackie and I have been friends since high school. A year ago, she was a very happy

and active person until she was diagnosed with an incurable and inoperable cancer. It has metastasized from her breast to her tailbone, lower spine, and her bones. So she is now classified as stage four cancer, which really doesn’t give her much more than five to maybe if she’s lucky eight years left to live.She is 69 and lives by herself. It has not been an easy road going through both radiation and chemo alone. The cancer is shrinking. Thank God. Over this last year, she got behind in her bills because of Medicaid! When the insurance took her off Medicare and put her on both, no one ever told her she had to recertify every year with Medicaid. No letter, no email, so of course, she didn’t do it. When they caught up several months later, they started taking back the money they paid, leaving her with only half a monthly check to live on. That is how she got behind on her lot rent. Everything is caught up now except for her lot rent. She owns her trailer free and clear, and when she gets evicted, she will also lose her trailer and everything in it. She cannot live on the streets with this cancer and low immunity & blood cells to fight infection. She can’t walk but for a few steps. Physical therapy is working with her on building up her strength. She won’t survive living on the streets after fighting this for a year. She fought the eviction in court but lost to the landlord lying to the court she never entered into an agreement with Jackie despite the fact Jackie had a copy of the email. Now if I lied in court I would be charged with purgery!! .I’m running out of time before the bailiff serves her the papers that she has to get out. Please help me raise enough money so she can store her personal belongings and not lose them too., and have a place to stay so she can actually enjoy however many years she has left on this earth.of the amount needed, 800.00 will go towards the movers and the storage unit. The remaining 1,200 will go towards a place for her to live. Please see it in your hearts to help. If everyone only donates $10 or $20 each it will add up quickly. I know she has a lot of friends out there and she definitely needs all of our help. She has helped so many people in the past including 100’s of veterans who needed help. We all need to come together quickly for her this time. I know she will pay it forward and be ever grateful to everyone. Thank you Loretta
