Help Me Save My Home

Hi, my name is Jackie, and I’m reaching out with a heart full of hope and a humble request for help during one of the most difficult times in my life.

Right now, I’m drowning in debt — the kind that keeps you up at night. I’ve done everything I can to stay afloat, but despite my efforts, the weight is becoming unbearable. On top of that, I’m facing a tax burden that could very well cost me the roof over my head. The thought of losing my home — my safe place, my stability — is terrifying.

My fridge leaks water on the floor...but still going. My oven doesn't work, but the stove top does....but I just have learned to make due....because the taxes and bills need paid. The thing i don't need is phone collection calls. So I sacrifice to choose my peace.

I have worked three jobs to buy this house as a single mom and raise my children. Losing the thing I've worked the hardest for in my life would be devastating.

I am not a slacker by any means and have no problem working my fingers to the bone... and have done so.

I currently work full-time and do everything I can to make money on the side.

Life just has not been kind to me lately and what was manageable now is not.

This isn’t easy for me to share. Like many people, I’ve always tried to be strong, to figure things out on my own. But the truth is, I can’t do this alone anymore.

I need someone to believe in me and provide a helping hand... even if it's a dollar. I have always been the person that helps the underdog, that supports the cause, that helps those less fortunate, that gives a hand up... but now I'm that person.

A dear friend with a huge heart (and an amazing online community) encouraged me to create this GoFundMe and let others who are willing and able step in. So here I am — asking for help, not out of laziness or irresponsibility, but out of desperation and hope.
