Hello,

My name is Jackie Miller, which I’m sure most of you know, loving daughter to Jonathan Miller. I sit beside my father on hospice now to do something I’ve never had to do before. I have to ask for help. My father didn’t have any preparations nor savings, and it falls on me to not only grieve the loss of this man but also struggle financially while out of work. I feel helpless and stuck, feeling like I can’t dig my way out of one hardship after another. I wave the white flag and realize it’s time to put my pride aside and say I need help during a time many of us are struggling. If you can’t help financially, a share is free. I’m hoping and praying I can make up costs in this to not only get my father an honorable burial but to not take food from my children’s mouths while we navigate the hard that comes with losing a parent and grandparent. I’m absolutely beside myself and really just know that the Lord is my only way through all of this.

My dad Jonathan is a veteran in the Air Force, a carpenter, a firefighter with many accolades that come with that, and his most favorite job was being a pop-pop.

My dad lived a hard life growing up in an orphanage in Ambler. He has many brothers and sisters but is only in contact with my Uncle Christopher, whom I found about 3 years ago on Facebook, and they reconnected after 40 years.

He didn’t get to grow up with love and structure and did his best through life with what he had, and it wasn’t much. I want to send my dad out in an honorable way with a Catholic burial and do what he would have wanted the best I can. Anything will help us.
