Jackie Blanchard is an incredible woman, a mother to two amazing, young daughters, Averie and Adalyn, and a beautiful wife to Mike. Anyone who knows Jackie, whether a family member, friend, or community member through her years working at TD bank in LaSalle and being a proud baseball/hockey mom knows how loving, generous, and compassionate she is.

 

Jackie was recently diagnosed with metastatic triple negative breast cancer. She began chemotherapy treatments right away. After several months of treatment, the cancer has unfortunately continued to spread. Jackie’s doctors have now told her there is a new type of chemotherapy drug, designed specifically to fight this type of cancer, and it has been shown to be 50% more effective than her current, traditional treatment. Unfortunately, this drug is not covered by OHIP or employment insurance benefits and waiting any longer on a compassionate care list is not an option. The treatments will cost Jackie’s family just over $100,000.
