Help Jackie get the life saving treatment she needs

My name is Brian. I am best friends with Nathan. Nathan's wife and mother of their 10-year-old daughter Olivia, Jackie, is courageously battling an aggressive form of cancer. Their journey began in October 2023 when they were given the news that Jackie had cancer. The official diagnosis came in January 2024. Jackie was diagnosed with appendix cancer which has now spread to her liver and small intestines. Chemotherapy was promptly started and for 6 months Jackie fought through the debilitating side effects with determination and resilience. In September Jackie and Nathan traveled to Toronto where Jackie was prepped and ready for surgery. Unfortunately, once inside, the surgeons determined that the cancer had spread too much and the surgery was no longer her best option. Chemotherapy was postponed as Jackie was forced to heal from surgery before she could resume chemotherapy again. Chemotherapy was resumed in November 2024 but because of the significant side effects several treatments were cancelled. At this point, the family is faced with the option of traveling to Calgary for aggressive treatment options. Traveling to Calgary will be personally and financially challenging for the family. We have decided to start this gofundme in hopes of alleviating the financial burden this will cause and hopefully allow them to focus on what's important, which is Jackie's fight.
