Help Jackie Get a Wheelchair-Accessible Vehicle
Donation protected

Last year, on December 2024, my mother, Jackie, went through a terrible incident that changed her life and the lives of our family members. The changes have made our quality of life very sad and difficult. My mom is a pastor's wife, a mom, a friend to many, and most importantly, a grandmother. But since the incident, doing the things she does as all those people has been very hard.
With this being said, something started with an infection in my mother’s foot that traveled up her leg. Her condition worsened, as she already had several health issues at 50 years old. As the days went by, the situation only grew more perilous, so doctors had no choice but to amputate her leg to save her life..
It has been a difficult few months for my mother, but I am so relieved that she is now home after two long months in the hospital.
It all began in September of 2024, when my mother was in and out of the hospital for a few weeks. On December 21st, she fell and injured both of her legs. Her other leg then caught the same infection that the first did, and as of January 29th, 2025, she had to lose the second leg.
This has been an unimaginable challenge, but we are incredibly grateful that my mom is still with us. She is active, determined to live life to the fullest, and looking forward to enjoying time with her grandchildren and her family.
However, this journey is far from over. My mom has a long road ahead of her, including rehabilitation, therapy, and medical care. We are in need of a vehicle for my mother that is wheelchair ready. This is a specialty vehicle that costs a lot of money, and is out of our budget. We appreciate your help so much in getting my mom the car she needs for a better life..
My Mom Jackie is a smart, strong, and determined woman. In the face of adversity, she's had to overcome numerous challenges, but she never loses sight of the importance of loving her children, grandchildren's, church, and spending time with family. Every day, she pushes forward with courage, hope, and prayers for strength.
Our family is humbly asking for your support as we navigate this new chapter. Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to providing my Mom with the resources she needs to thrive. One important resource she needs is a new wheelchair-accessible vehicle. This is a big-ticket item, and it is out of our budget, but with your generosity, we may be able to reach our goal. Thank you in advance for your support.
