Alex, my dear friend and mentor, signed me up for one of my dream goals, which was to complete an obstacle course race. We did it on the hottest day of the summer, but we did it. I did the best that I could, but I could only be proud for all of two minutes because I had to wait till next year to prove I could do better.
The goal is to do the Savage Race first because it's a little bit shorter but there are more obstacles. That way, I can absolutely kill the Tough Mudder next and accomplish my goal of doing better. Mainly, I just need to get a couple pairs of barefoot shoes with the holes to drain water, kinetic tape, a new hydration pack, and the tights I can wear under my shorts so my legs aren't ripped to shreds. I know it's not one's obligation to help out, but all the belief in me from you guys pushed me through it. If we somehow hit over that goal, I'll donate the remainder to Action Cerebral Palsy (ACP), an organization dedicated to helping children and young people with cerebral palsy. Even if no one donates, that's completely okay. I understand times are rough, and I thank you for reading my story and your continued belief in me. Race number one is Sunday, June 20, race number two is Sunday, August 23rd. Many blessings and much love to all of you ♡ may God let me not die on these courses
