Help Jackie and Zach Bring Joy to Shelter Pets
Donation protected
Hi Everyone. For the past six years, Zach and I have been raising money and collecting items for underfunded animal shelters in the tristate area. Each year, we personally travel to multiple animal shelters after buying or collecting toys, treats, food, leashes, collars, dog beds, towels, blankets, and other necessities during the holiday season and shortly after the new year, as many animals tend to be returned to shelters and rescues during this period of time. This year, it feels even more special as we are excited to teach our daughter, Auguste, the gift of giving.
The past few years have been some of the most trying times for animal shelters across the country as dogs have been returned or surrendered to rescues and shelters at an alarming rate post-COVID. Euthanasia rates are at a record high.
These items not only are necessities for underfunded shelters, but also provide joy through toys, dog beds, or treats in the holiday season for animals who may never know what it’s like to go to a home.
Since losing my rescue dog Dudley in 2020 to cancer suddenly, giving back to other animals has become a priority in my life. Helping animals in need at this time of the year is one of my favorite things I do all year.
If you would like to partake in giving back, feel free to donate directly via the GoFundMe link or contact me directly regarding a donation or items you may have to donate that I will happily collect and donate on your behalf. Towels and blankets tend to be the most needed amongst shelters. Any amount, even $1, goes a long way.
Thank you and Happy Holidays,
Jackie, Zach, Auggie, Winston & Finley
