Hi, my name is John Stemberg, and I’m creating this fundraiser for my sister-in-law, Jackie — a woman I admire deeply and love like a sister.
Jackie is in the middle of the most difficult battle of her life: triple negative breast cancer, an aggressive form of breast cancer that requires intense treatment. Over the past months, she has shown unbelievable courage, resilience, and strength. She has completed chemotherapy, and on June 11th, she will undergo a double mastectomy.
Jackie is a warrior. But even warriors need a hand sometimes. She is a single mom to her incredible daughter Sage, who dropped everything and moved to Wisconsin to help care for Jackie full-time. They are navigating this journey together with grace, grit, and love, and they could use our help.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 to give Jackie the support she needs right now. The funds will go directly to Jackie toward three things:
Medical bills – her insurance doesn’t cover everything, and costs are mounting
Living expenses – Jackie will be missing months of work during treatment and surgery recovery
Peace of mind – so she can focus on healing without the daily stress of survival
This fight is personal for me. In April 2022, I lost my beautiful wife Angie — Jackie’s sister — to breast cancer. Jackie was there every step of the way, and she was a rock for Angie and the entire family.
Jackie is one of the most selfless, compassionate people I’ve ever known. She’s a beautiful mother, daughter, and sister, and she always lifts others — now we want to lift her. Our family is very close. We’ve leaned on each other through loss and joy. And right now, we’re asking those in our community to help give Jackie some light during a very dark time.
Every donation — no matter the size — makes a real difference. If you can give, it is greatly appreciated. If you can’t, please consider sharing this with someone who might. You’d be surprised how much kindness is out there. We believe in Jackie’s healing. We believe in love. And we believe in the power of people coming together for someone who truly deserves it.
From the bottom of my heart — thank you.
With gratitude,
John Stemberg
