In the beginning of February my father, Jack, had unexpected life-threatening medical problems occur and needed emergency surgery. He has been in a hospital and rehabilitation facility ever since.

The same week I discovered him needing help was also the week my sister, Elisha, and I were supposed to move him out of his apartment as well. Because of the nature of the medical problem, majority of his furniture and linens had to be thrown away.

In recent events, we are told the problem is returning and more surgery may be possible.

He is on a fixed income and Medicare only covers so much. With this gofundme, the money would be used for transportation to his appointments, longer stay at the rehabilitation facility, help getting things he needs for his apartment like a comforter, bed sheets, etc. and covering the cost that his insurance can’t.

Anyone who knows my father knows how hard of a worker he was, always kept a positive attitude, and loved his daughters (and The Patriots). Wether it was cooking for Presidents, hauling gummy bears across the country, or slicing your deli meat, he always has a story and a smile.
