We Need Your Help ASAP

Jack, a beautiful Pomeranian-mix was rescued from the streets of Beijing, China, with a completely displaced fractured of his right femur. This sweet little dog, with such an inquisitive and outgoing nature, desperately needs our help! Jack’s surgery is scheduled for Monday, June 11th. Honestly, we cannot bear to watch him suffer any longer and strongly believe that when you see this amazing little dog, you will gladly contribute what you can to help us reach our goal. We need to raise $2,600 to fund the entire orthopedic surgical procedure necessary to save the leg of this adorable 4-year old dog. With your help, we can work together to change Jack’s life, so that he can finally stand, run and walk, and be pain-free again! 

The Story of Jack

Jack was rescued by Chinese activists nearly 4 years ago, from the streets of Beijing China. When they found him, one eye was gouged out and his right femur was broken into two pieces!  Jack was very sick, suffering from pneumonia while living on the streets during the cold winter months in Beijng. But Jack is a spirited young male with a strong will to survive; he recovered in a veterinary clinic over several months. While the Chinese  were celebrating the New Year during a month long celebration, Jack was hospitalized and fighting to survive.

 Until recently, Jack had been under the care of Chinese activists; however, his fractured femur was never treated. It’s difficult to imagine the pain he has endured for so long! Because of his disability, he was bullied by other dogs because of his handicapped leg and eye. China Doll Animal Rescue 中国娃娃动物救援 (a part of Animal of World Foundation) decided to bring Jack to the United States, the only way he could possibly have a chance of getting the necessary surgery and eventually have a chance to love and be loved in a fur-ever home.

Thank you to the awesome and incredibly generous Jeff Werber, DVM of the Century Veterinary Group, who is donating 100% of his time, x-rays, anesthesia, and use of their operating room and medications. We can only imagine what the cost would have been, if not for Dr Werber’s incredibly generous help for Jack. The fee is for the services of a board certified orthopedic surgeon, who Dr Werber is bringing to his hospital to do the surgery.
