This past Sunday, July 4, our nephew, Jack, was seriously injured in an accident. Jack is the oldest of our brother Dickie's four boys, and he is dearly loved by all of his aunts, uncles and cousins. Dickie, Jeni, Sam, Ben and Nick have experienced just about every emotion from fear to hope to worry to joy as they have rushed to be with Jack and help him begin to recover. His injuries include multiples fractures to his skull and face as well as numerous other injuries. Despite all of this, his sly personality is still managing to shine through in moments when least expected.

Jack has always been a high achiever, and he is already exceeding expectations, but as anyone who has navigated our complex medical system through an extended recovery knows, the bills can add up quickly. My siblings, their spouses and I really want to help lift this financial burden a little for Jack's family. Candidly, we had to persuade Dickie and Jeni to allow us to create this page.

We know the current and future costs of Jack's recovery will add up, and we also know that many of Dickie and Jeni's friends, as well as our friends, would like to help. If nothing else, we are always reminded during times like this how incredibly blessed we are to have such loving and caring people in our lives. We have already felt the tremendous power of your prayers. If any of you are interested in helping Dickie and Jeni with some of the expenses of Jack's recovery, please feel free and know that even if you cannot help financially, we are profoundly grateful for you prayers.
