For the past few years, Jack has been courageously fighting Follicular dendritic cell sarcoma, which originally developed in his back. After undergoing radiation and intense chemotherapy, we were hopeful that things were under control. Unfortunately, the cancer later spread to his lungs, and he went through even more aggressive treatment. At that point, his body had been through so much, and he made the difficult decision to stop treatment.

For a while, things seemed to be improving. But a few weeks ago, Jack began to decline. We went to the ER, thinking it might be another collapsed lung. Instead, we received news we were not prepared for. The scans showed that three masses in his lungs have grown significantly, with one now pressing on the pulmonary artery in his right lung, making it very difficult for him to breathe.

After meeting with his oncologist, we were told there is little more that can be done other than possibly prolonging a small amount of time. As you can imagine, this has been incredibly hard for our family to hear.

But if you know Jack, you know he is determined and not ready to stop fighting. He has been searching for other options and spoke today with a doctor in Mexico through a Zoom consultation. He has been accepted for treatment, and we are now working to get him there as soon as possible, aiming for June. He would need to stay for about two weeks.

This is not something we can do alone. We are doing everything we can on our end, selling his motorcycle and other belongings, and even looking into loans to make this happen. But we are reaching out because we could really use support.
