Final Jack Update:
The hospital just called. Jack was in respiratory distress and his body just couldn't fight anymore. He was hurting. So they turned on CatTV for him and let me talk to him one last time before they helped free him from his pain.
We still have a very large balance to pay for his care, but I have zero regrets that we fought as hard as we did for the very best boy in the world.
My heart is broken.
Thank you all for helping us fight with Jack. ❤️ ❤️❤️

Update:
I am finding out about a possible second job on Saturday. Pursuing other avenues that provide assistance, and will have Care Credit for future needs - but CC unfortunately can't apply to Jack's situation.

Mackenzie is absolutely blaming herself. We need Jack to get better.

Jack is a precious orange cat who Lynn Schultz Rupard took in off the street, giving him a loving home. I met Lynn seven years ago when she adopted her cat Benny from the rescue I volunteer with, and we've been friends ever since. Jack quickly became a cherished member of Lynn's family, bringing comfort and joy to Lynn and her 15-year-old daughter, Mackenzie, especially after the unexpected loss of Lynn's husband three years ago.

Recently, Jack stopped eating, drinking, and going potty, and Lynn rushed him to the emergency vet. The doctors discovered that Jack had swallowed approximately 15 rubber bands, causing his liver function count to soar more than 800% above the healthy range. Jack is now very weak and is being fed through a tube as he fights to recover. The vet bills for Jack's emergency care have already become overwhelming, and Lynn is struggling to cover these costs while caring for her family.

Jack means the world to Lynn and Mackenzie, and his illness has been especially hard on Mackenzie, who feels responsible because Jack may have found the rubber bands in her room. Your support will help pay Jack's vet bills, give him the chance to heal and come home, and ease Mackenzie's heart so she doesn't feel guilty or lose another beloved companion. Please consider donating to help Jack get the care he needs and bring hope back to Lynn and Mackenzie.
