UP IN SMOKE. Last weekend my Dad, Jack's home of 50 years burned to the ground in Dixfield, Maine. Everything was destroyed--furniture, appliances, clothing and memories. Although a disabled vet, he is still independent minded. The loss is not covered by insurance. Everything helps at this point as we help him regain his footing so he can age in place on his land.
