Help Jack Rebuild After Devastating Flood

A new homeowner, a Volunteer Firefighter, a United States Marine, and now, is in need of help.

Jack is someone who lives a life of service, always putting the needs of other first. He purchased his first home in the quiet town of Sound Beach and moved his entire family in with him, keeping with the generational housing tradition of his heritage. In order to do this, he renovated the entire basement of his house, including adding a separate outside entrance, so it could be utilized as primary living space for his family.

Prior to his move, he was a member of the Selden Fire Department, and was excited to transfer over to join the ranks of the Sound Beach Fire Department in order to continue to help those within the community he lives.

But after an unprecedented rainstorm that dropped over 10 inches of rain in under 2 hours, everything he worked so hard for was washed away. His entire basement was completely underwater, to the point where the water actually touched the ceiling. Unfortunately, Insurance will not cover water damage unless it originates from within the structure (from a source such as a broken pipe, etc.), so his family is completely on the hook financially.

Adding to this hardship, less than 2 weeks later, he was t-boned while driving one of the family cars. While he was lucky to walk away with minor injuries, the vehicle was totaled, adding another strain to a family already struggling to rebuild.
