For decades, my father Jack McElhinney has been a beloved part of Martha’s Vineyard, a true islander and a fixture of the Chappaquiddick community. As a painter, he has left his mark on homes across the island, but more importantly, he has left his mark on the lives of those around him, always ready with a helping hand, always putting others before himself.

Now, in his time of need, we are asking for your help. Jack has recently been diagnosed with bladder cancer, and as he begins this fight, the financial strain of medical bills and day-to-day expenses is growing.

Jack has given so much to this community, now it’s our turn to give back. Whether you’ve known him as a friend, a neighbor, or just an islander who always lent a hand, any contribution will help ease the burden and allow him to focus on healing.
