My name is Nathalie, and I’ve created this fundraiser for my dear friend Carolina — an exceptional mother who is facing an unimaginably difficult chapter in her life.

Carolina is the devoted mom of five children. Her 16-year-old son Jack was diagnosed in June 2025 with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer. It is the kind of diagnosis no parent is ever prepared to hear.

Jack has been fighting with incredible courage: enduring intense chemotherapy, long hospital stays, and countless unanswered questions. He recently made it through surgery and with continued treatments, we are praying for full remission.

But the challenges have not stopped there.

Recently, Carolina lost her job due to a company restructuring. At the same time, since April of this year (2025) she is navigating a very difficult separation after more than 25 years with her husband. This has left her shouldering nearly all of the household’s financial burden — while also caring for Jack and his four siblings, two of whom are just 5 and 8 years old. The family now faces the real possibility of losing their home, the one place that brings the children safety and stability during this incredibly turbulent time.

Carolina and Jack are strong, resilient, and hopeful. But no one can shoulder this much at once.

Carolina is the type of person who has always helped others without ever asking for anything in return. But right now, she needs support — the kind of support that only a community can offer.

That is why I am starting this fundraiser. Together, we can help relieve some of the financial pressure so Jack can focus on healing and Carolina can continue caring for her children without the fear of losing their home.

Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help bring light and stability to Jack and his family during this dark and uncertain time.

❤️ Aidez Jack et sa maman pendant leur combat contre le cancer

Je m’appelle Nathalie et j’ai créé cette collecte de fonds pour mon amie très chère, Carolina — une mère exceptionnelle qui traverse une période d’une difficulté inimaginable.

Carolina est la maman dévouée de cinq enfants. Son fils Jack, âgé de 16 ans, a reçu en juin 2025 un diagnostic d’ostéosarcome, un cancer des os rare et agressif. C’est le genre de diagnostic auquel aucun parent n’est jamais préparé.

Jack se bat avec un courage incroyable : chimiothérapies intensives, longs séjours à l’hôpital et tant de questions sans réponse. Il a fait la chirurgie et, avec les traitements en cours, nous espérons une rémission complète.

Mais les défis ne s’arrêtent pas là.

Carolina a récemment perdu son emploi à la suite d’une restructuration de son entreprise. En même temps, depuis avril (2025) elle traverse une séparation très difficile après plus de 25 ans de vie commune. Elle se retrouve maintenant à assumer la quasi-totalité de la charge financière — tout en s’occupant de Jack et de ses quatre autres enfants, dont deux âgés de seulement 5 et 8 ans. La famille fait à présent face à la possibilité bien réelle de perdre leur maison, le seul endroit qui apporte stabilité et sécurité aux enfants en cette période particulièrement bouleversante.

Carolina et Jack sont forts, résilients et pleins d’espoir. Mais personne ne peut porter un tel fardeau tout d'un seul coup.

Carolina est le genre de personne qui a toujours aidé les autres sans jamais rien demander en retour. Mais aujourd’hui, elle a besoin de soutien — de ce soutien que seule une communauté soudée peut offrir.

C’est pourquoi je lance cette collecte. Ensemble, nous pouvons alléger une partie de cette pression financière écrasante, afin que Jack puisse se concentrer sur sa guérison et que Carolina puisse continuer à prendre soin de ses enfants sans craindre de perdre leur foyer.

Toute contribution, même la plus petite, apportera lumière et stabilité à Jack et à sa famille durant cette période sombre et incertaine.
