This is Jack. He's a 2-year-old Icelandic sheepdog who was mistreated by his original owners. They rarely fed him more than table scraps and NEVER spent any time with him. He kept running away from home, and after being returned only to escape again for months, they finally said they didn't want him anymore. We brought him into our family 1 week ago today and noticed from day 1 he had a pretty severe limp in his left back leg. I took him to the vet today to find out he has a broken femur, which has been broken for a while and is trying to heal (incorrectly). He needs surgery to fix his leg and take him out of pain so he can finally heal properly and live the life he deserves with our family as he should have had his entire life.
