Hello! I'm Jack and I'm raising money to replace my car that died recently and get myself out of a violent and dangerous living situation.

I'm raising $4000 to buy a modest used car and move into a new space for me and my 4 cats that is safe and stable.

The last 3 years of my life have been insane and turbulent. I recently moved from Dallas to Portland and thought I had found a good, safe, and stable place to live. Recently, the person I rent a room from lost her job and totaled her car, and has had an extreme shift in behavior like I've never seen before. She doesn't know what to do with herself and has become neurotic, bordering on violent over anything she can think of.

Unfortunately, last week my car was declared dead by a reliable mechanic and I've been unable to work since. I've paid my rent and bills, but I need to move immediately because my roommate is dangerous and any alternatives would require surrendering my cats to a shelter and living homeless in Portland. I don't have family to fall back on and I'm out of options. I never got a chance to save up any money because I was putting any spare money I had back into the car to keep it running, but it no longer starts and wouldn't be safe to drive if it did.
