There comes a time in life for us all. we suffer the loss of a Loved one. Im asking our community to help a loving family that has lost 2 of their sons in tragic road traffic accidents. This is a brief account of the loss Alice and Denis Myers have suffered. Their loss first started in September 1998.

Jack Myers aged 6 woke up one morning put on his school uniform and headed off to school. After doing his day in school and enjoying the innocence of childhood Jack came out the school doors with his lolipop in hand which he got off his teacher for been a good boy in class. Unfortunately Jack Life was cut short and he was killed in a tragic accident and never made it past the school gates. Most of us will remember this in our town as we collected our children from school that afternoon. Jack was a beautiful boy and a very playful little boy with the most beautiful head of curls and always smiling.

Sadly all those years ago Shannon did not have a cemetery for any of us to lay our loved ones to rest. Jack was laid to rest in Limerick at that time.

In June of 2024 Alice & Denis received that dreadful knock at the door for a second time to be told their eldest son Danny had been killed in a road traffic accident as he made his way home. we cannot even imagine how Alice and Denis must of felt at this time. Danny was a young 38 yr old a Father of 2 whom he loved dearly his kids are devastated at the loss of their dad. Danny and Jack have 2 surviving brothers who are missing them immensely.

The Myers Family have always been a part of our community. As a community we are asking in their hour of need to help the Myers Family bring Jack Home to be laid to rest with his brother Danny in our home Town. This is formally known as Reinterment. This christmas the Myers Family visited their sons graves .They had to leave Jacks grave in limerick and then travel to Dannys grave .They were all truly devastated to leave one to go to another. Alice &Denis only wishes would be for both of their sons to be together in Shannon. Where they can visit and sit and be with their loved ones in spirit. All the Myers Family could be together visiting their Boys in their final resting place .

The aim of this is to raise an amount of 10,000 euro to completely cover the cost of Reinterment. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
