I fucking hate to do this, can't tell you how humiliating this is, but I'm in a really tight spot right now.
I lost my job a few of months ago, and been trying like fuck to get a new job with no luck, (thanks COVID), and also thanks to being 50 ("overqualified").
Moving abroad has been screwed because the USA is like a COVID toilet to the rest of the world right now. (Thanks FLORIDA)
Long story short, I need to scrape up a bit over two grand to keep from getting evicted. The sooner the better to be honest.
I hit up my family to help me out, but they've either been fucked by COVID as well, or their kids have and they're helping them keep afloat. Lots of nieces and nephews in the service industry. Chefs and shit like that.
Not sure how to do this, to be honest, I never, ever thought I'd be seeking the kindness of strangers. Pretty humiliating honestly.
I have paypal but I've never used gofundme, so I have no clue about how that works. Don't know if I should or now, never thought I would be in this position.
