Help us with Jack's headstone and final expenses
I am Jack Boufford's sister, Juli Langley. I am starting this GoFundMe to raise money for Jack's funeral and final expenses as he has no money left. Jack has been in and out of hospitals and rehabilitation centers for physical therapy, which has caused him to have his right leg amputated. At the next center, he developed cellulitis, a staph infection, and a compression injury to his left foot, resulting in the amputation of his 5th toe and knuckle. The last center was supposed to rehab him so he could go home. Jack was taken to the hospital on April 8th with severe malnutrition, severe dehydration, and double pneumonia. Jack's accounts have been drained paying for all his medical bills and monthly bills. Jack Passed away on April 23rd from complications from the malnutrition which caused his organs to shut down. We started this fundraiser to help make him comfortable and pay for his final expenses, and we want to thank everyone that has donated. We were able to pay for Jack's cremation and Celebration of life with what we raised. We are now left with getting Jack a nice headstone to commemorate his life, while paying the monthly bills at his house and cleaning the house out, which is draining all of his family's funds.
Jack was the guy that would give you the shirt off his back if he thought it would help. He always donated everything that would help kids, animals, and the ocean.
He worked at T-bird Mini Mart on West Street, Keene, NH. Jack was the guy that would always try to be at the full-service pumps; he would fill the propane tanks and help with the car wash. Jack worked every hour they asked him to work.
Jack loved his flowers. He would buy all kinds of bulbs and then call our sister Jill Wood to come plant them for him so he could enjoy the pretty flowers.
Jack was the one that would be there when needed to drive our mother to her doctor's appointments and help lift her into and out of the car until our mother passed away December 2020 and our father passed in January 2021, 23 days apart.
Jack didn't deserve what has happened to him.
Jack had a kind soul, with a heart of gold, deserving more than he got from our healthcare system. Jack was an avid New England Patriots Fan. he would go to as many Patriots games as he could. He was so thrilled when he had his picture taking with the Patriot Cheerleaders in their Christmas suits. Jack would spend all year entering the replays from scratch tickets, one year he won season tickets to the Patriots games. He could hardly contain himself when he called me to tell me about it. Jack hated to miss a game, he would go to the Christmas and New Years eve ones as cold as it was out. He and his friend Wayne would have so much fun, Jack would have an infectious laugh telling us about his travel there and all that he did.
so it is so hard to believe Jack could go from being filled with this much life and passion to dying from the neglect he went through in the facilities that are paid so much to take care of our loved ones.
