Help Jack and his family make it through this hard time.

Hi everyone,

We are reaching out during an incredibly difficult time in our lives to ask for support for someone who truly needs it — our beloved Jack.

For the past ten years, Jack has been fighting a brutal and exhausting health battle caused by a rare condition called AVM (Arteriovenous Malformation), which leads to dangerous brain bleeds. On top of this, he lives with intense, chronic epilepsy — a combination that has made every step forward in life feel like an uphill battle.

Jack has now suffered his third brain bleed. This most recent episode has been devastating, not only emotionally and physically, but financially as well. It’s left him with partial vision loss — a life-changing injury that doctors believe could be permanent.

As if that wasn’t enough, late last year Jack experienced a major seizure while driving, which caused a serious accident that completely wrote off his vehicle and all but caused him to close his business. Thankfully, he survived — but the consequences have been severe. Jack has lost his driver’s license for the foreseeable future, and possibly for life. This loss of independence and mobility has further disrupted his ability to care for his family or work, piling more stress onto an already overwhelming situation.

For over a decade, Jack has been fighting to be present as a partner, a father of his 7 year old daughter and a provider. But each health emergency knocks him and his family back down — often just as they begin to get on their feet again. The fear, the medical bills, the long recoveries… they never stop.

Now, with this latest setback, Jack’s family is on the verge of losing everything they’ve worked for — their home, their stability, their sense of peace. They’ve done everything they can to stay afloat, but the constant medical costs, reduced ability to work, closing of his small business, constant job change due to his health and day-to-day stress of surviving has pushed them to the edge. While Jack is always trying to make people happy and laugh this recent challenge has made it hard.

We are starting this GoFundMe in hopes of raising enough to help Jack and his family breathe again. Funds will go toward:

* Ongoing medical care, treatment, and therapy

* Specialized support

* Living expenses while Jack recovers

* Keeping the family in their home during this impossible time
