Jacek Rataj- mąż, przyjaciel, znajomy, kolega, a przede wszystkim ojciec 4 dzieci, dwóch dorosłych i dwójki małych. Ani Jacek, ani jego rodzina nigdy nie miała potrzeby prosić o pomoc. Natomiast pod koniec stycznia 2022 ich życie obróciło się do góry nogami.

stało się coś czego nikt by nigdy się nie spodziewał. Na typowo kontrolnej wizycie u Jacka odkryto guza na śródpiersiu. Rak gruczołowy 4 stopień, nie operacyjny z przerzutami na wątrobę.

W marcu 28ego, Jacek dostał immunoterapię 3 wlewy w odstępach 3 tygodni, natomiast niestety po nich doszły skutki uboczne. Ciężkie zapalenie płuc oraz w całym ciele robiły się skrzepy. Mimo wysokich dawek zastrzyków, skrzepy nadal się utrzymują na plucach. Ostatnie 8 tyg, Jacek spędził 7 razy w szpitalu. Po immunoterapi guzy się powiększyły w płucach i na wątrobie, 8 lipca Jacek zaczyna chemioterapię.

Mimo iż leczenia jako takie w Irlandii jest darmowe, ratuje się jak może- wizytami u prywatnych lekarzy, dotlenieniem.

Jacek aktualnie nie pracuje, jego żona również aby pomoc jemu, i zająć się nim w tych ciężkich chwilach. Normalne koszty utrzymania, są dla nich wyjątkowo ciężkie a do tego dochodzą prywatni lekarze, specjalna dieta dla Jacka, w czasie chemioterapii Jacek będzie musiał pic tak zwane nutridrinki. Te napoje kosztują €55 za 4.. w tygodniu potrzebne będzie conajmniej 7. Chcielibyśmy aby w tym ciężkim czasie, ostatnim problemem dla nich były koszty utrzymania. Każda pomoc się liczy, bylibyśmy bardzo wdzięczni.

Jacek Rataj, husband, friend , best friend but most importantly a father of 4 kids.

2 grown up and 2 little ones!

Nor Jacek or his family had to ever ask for help before, but their life turned upside down at the end of January 2022.

At check up doctors visit, the doctor found a tumour in the mediastinum, with metastasis to his liver.

none operable one. Stage 4 cancer.

In March 28th, he received immunotherapy. However unfortunately after that, there showed massive side effects.

Lungs pneumonia and huge clots all over his body. In the last 8 weeks he went to hospital 7 times. After immunotherapy the tumours got much bigger.

so on the 8th of July he is starting chemotherapy.

Even though the doctors care is free, the associated costs with that aren’t.

Jacek and his wife Joanna are currently not working due to his illness.

but bills etc still have to be paid.

also, Jacek isn’t ready to give up this battle. He is doing absolutely everything that he can to fight it. Meaning he is visiting private doctors, he is getting hydro treatments and many more!

when Jacek starts chemo, he is going to have to drink drinks called nutri drinks, 4 of them cost €50, he will need a minimum of 7 of them per week.

In this very difficult time for him and his family. the last thing that he should be doing is worrying about how is he going to pay for it .

therefore, absolutely any kind of help would be really really appreciated.
