Help Jace Thrive with Muscular Dystrophy

Donation protected
My name is Dan Berent and I’ve worked with Jace’s dad, Eric for the last 4 years at Safety Rail Company. I admire his strong work ethic and dedication to provide for his family, working two jobs to do so. I know things have been very tough for him and his wife, Amy as they watch their little boy slowly lose his muscle function.

Jace was diagnosed with Duchenne’s when he was 2 and is now 7. He gets weekly infusions of a medication to help slow the progression, but there is no cure.

For those who might be unaware, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a rare progressive disease that causes muscles to become weaker over time until it affects the whole body. Eventually, the muscle used to help you breathe, called the diaphragm, stops working.

Our hope with this fundraiser is to help purchase an E-trike so that Jace can go on bike rides with his family and not have to sit out while his friends ride their bikes. Jace longs to just do “normal” kid things and it gets harder and harder as his weakness progresses. There are also mounting medical bills that insurance won’t cover, so we’d like to be able to provide some financial peace of mind for his family.

Thank you very much for your consideration to donate. It will give this very special little boy and his family a chance to thrive despite the challenges they are facing.
