Hi my name is jace, I’m a Transman ,my pronouns are he/they and I’m trying to raise money for gender affirming top surgery and relocation. I currently live in Ghana, a homophobic and transphobic country that is in the processing of passing a draconian anti-lgbt law that seeks to criminalize queer Ghanaians.This will make life more difficult for the community which already has majority of queer people living in hiding from fear . The bill proposes a jail term of up to 10 years . I need to relocate from Ghana for my safety and well-being.Starting this crowdfunding campaign is a huge risk I'm taking, because coming out publicly as a trans man and putting my face up here is very dangerous but it’s a risk I’m willing to take to ensure that I'm able to live my truth. The Anti-lgbt bill is stirring up more hate and violence towards people perceived as queer and while I don’t pass outwardly as a man because I have a huge chest, I am perceived and targeted as a masc woman and I struggle with the dysphoria that comes with it, this has taken a huge toll on my mental health. I have been binding for 3 years now but I have wanted top surgery even before I knew what binding was . It really isn’t easy for big chested people to bind especially for long hours everyday . I constantly have chest and back pain but I can’t stop binding that is literally the only thing that makes me feel alive and like my self; when I take it off I feel…..well dead . Not only will this surgery change my life it will help be a better guardian to my sibling. I have been working out a lot hoping to shrink the chest but it’s not helping . I started to save a year ago for top surgery but last year December my house was robbed, they broke in while my partner and I were sleeping and took everything including our phones and laptops so unfortunately I have to start over . I need this more than anything. Pls donate and help me live a full life as my true self. Any contribution will be very much appreciate.
