Help Jabal's family in Puerto Rico

Summary:
First it was hurricane Irma, then it was hurricane Maria- the strongest of storms ever measured in the Atlantic and has caused catastrophic damage. This fund will provide relief to my family in Puerto Rico, in the form of daily essentials that we often overlook everyday. This includes the most important necessities of food, water, and medicine, in addition to the long term recovery assistance to help them rebuild literally from the ground up.
Challenge:
With damaging winds and a large storm surge, Hurricane Maria has destroyed homes and critical infrastructure, rendering Puerto Rico without power. We look to ourselves, family, friends and the network of folks that we are blessed to have who are in position to stand behind us. What we can do immediately is help fund my family’s preparation for relief and recovery.
Solution:
The immediate goal is to help my family with most urgent needs; whether that be food, fuel, clean water, hygiene products, clothes, temporary shelter. The long term goal is to help them rebuild what they’ve lost, which is a long road ahead.
Unfortunately it’s tragedy that often brings folks together. Any help is appreciated and 100% of the fund will go to family.
At the moment Puerto Rico is powerless and we have yet to make contact with family. In the meantime we will continue raising funds for this tragedy and be at the ready. JT is personally funding a trip to Puerto Rico for him to be there physically and help. If travel is not possible, at least our wired donations can help asap.

My name is Jabal Torres. Bay Area transplant from Lawrence, MA. Most of my family is lives in Humacao and Yabacoa Puerto Rico.
I'm raising funds to help my Titi Johanna Andino and family. Titi Johanna just lost her husband between hurricanes Irma and Maria and she needs help with burial expenses, home restoration, food and supplies.
I can't just stand by and watch.
