Hello! We are J1 Interns from the Philippines working at a hotels in Orlando, Florida. Like everyone else, our journey this year has been a tough one. Before we went here, we paid around $6000-$7000 for our one year training. In addition, our monthly expenses such as apartment deposits and airfare were not provided. We did all that to experience and gain knowledge from working internationally.

Due to the unexpected pandemic, the hotels closed leaving us with no work and no income. We are currently in need of help with our apartment rent and paying other bills until hotel operations resume. Going back to the Philippines is an option but due to the short months we have trained in the hotel, we haven’t really saved up enough for a ticket back home.

We are asking for anyone to donate any amount they can. We appreciate everyone and hope that everyone is staying safe through these tough times.
