My name is J, and I am a trans, queer person of color who has lived in this country my whole life. Even though I was born here, I no longer feel safe due to the current administration and the increasing threats to my safety and well-being. Every day, I worry about my future and my ability to live authentically and without fear. I am reaching out because I need help to find a safer place where I can rebuild my life and feel secure.

This journey is not just about me—my beloved dog has been by my side since she was 10 weeks old, and she is now 9 years old. She is my family, my comfort, and my constant companion. I cannot imagine leaving her behind, and I want to make sure she is safe and cared for as we start this new chapter together. The funds raised will go directly toward flight and moving costs for both of us, so we can relocate to a place where we can live freely and safely.
