Help J through one more year of the disability application process
J is the kind of friend that everyone hopes to have. They’re generous, talented, passionate, and really committed to people they love.
J's spent many years helping others through tough times, and now they need help.
Despite very careful and thrifty planning at the beginning of the process, this past year has depleted their savings. Their lawyer says it’ll be another year before they can expect to be awarded their disability benefits.
$12,000 will cover one full year of rent and utilities, and allow them to finish the process.
Did you know?
You can only apply after becoming too disabled to work. (Which of course seems totally reasonable.)
But-
The average person waits 2.6 years before they receive benefits. (some stats here)
2.6 years is a long time to live on savings.
J’s in the home stretch, and just needs a bit of help from us to make it to the end.
We’re each only as strong as the people who help us when we’re down.
Please give what you can.
