Hi, we are Izzy's parents, Cassie Clough and Nathan Davila. We are creating this gofundme on behalf of Izzy;

 

Izzy Davila is our adventurous, creative 4 year old. Life got real for all of us when she went through a traumatic life-changing situation that no one should have to face, let alone a young child.

 

In March 2022, what started as headaches quickly progressed into acute pain, vomiting and popped eye blood vessels. This turned out to be a 3.9cm Pilocyticastrocytoma tumor situated along her brain’s superior cerebellum in the area of the pineal gland. The location of the tumor was blocking cerebral spinal fluid, causing the pressure and symptoms to worsen.

 

We then had to explain to Izzy that she had a tumor in her brain, and that the doctors were going to cut open and carefully remove it. This has been the most traumatic situation we have ever gone through.

 

By the grace of god, after being in ICU for six days, the night after her surgery she was well enough to be moved onto the main hospital floor, and sent home a couple days later. Though this type of tumor is not cancerous, it is a specific type that has a tendency to regrow in its original location. Thus, Izzy is required to be monitored every three months, by MRI with anesthesia, for the first year, every 6 months for the second year, and every year for life after.

 

Now, three months post-surgery, the hospital and specialist bills have come in. We have an immediate, dire financial need for help. This gofundme is to cover the current outstanding bills that we have not been able to cover on our own, as well as the upcoming appointments.

 

All of our friends and family were amazingly supportive during our time in the hospital, and we are forever grateful to you. We are asking one more time for everyone to rally and help with any donations you can offer. At minimum, if you could help share this page, we would be so thankful.
