Help Izzy & Tina
Donation protected
Thursday, March 9, Izzy and Tina were in a head on collision. Izzy was life flighted to the Castle here in SF and immediately went into surgery where they removed her spleen and is in a medical induced coma due to brain swelling. Tina under went surgery Thursday morning due to multiple broken bones but also has internal lacerations. Both of them have a very long recovery ahead. Tina’s job is very physical and the future of when she will be able to return is unknown. Tina is a single mother of 3 children and works two jobs just to make ends meet. Any Financial Donations will help cover expenses i.e. medical bills, a new vehicle, meals, monthly bills, Steve Webster's (Izzy's Father) loss of income as he has been by Izzy's side since she arrived at the hospital, etc.
3/11/23 A.M. Update:
Tina had surgery yesterday on her Right leg tibia & Left wrist & hand. She has a plate and screws in the tibia and wrist as well as a pin into her middle finger. She still has lacerations on her liver and spleen but the medical professionals believe those will heal quickly and she should be moving out of ICU today.
Izzy is still in PICU with a medically induced coma. Thursday night when they surgically removed her spleen, the surgeon(s) left her stomach open to ensure there were no other issues internally. They also placed a probe into her head so they could monitor her brain swelling. Last night it was an 8 out of 20 which is good (20 is bad!). She is going back into surgery this morning and if all goes well, they will close up her stomach. She also has a broken shoulder and her chances of playing her favorite sport in the future is extremely low. Izzy LOVES playing softball and has done so for about 10 years & hearing this breaks our hearts. Her devoted father, Steve Webster, has not left her side this entire time. Steve’s mom and sister spent most of the day with her as well. After Tina’s surgery, the medical providers wheeled tina out of recovery and directly to izzy’s room so Tina could see her. What an amazing gesture.
The family has received a few donations (25% of our goal) and greatly appreciates the generosity from those that have donated. There is nothing else that can be done at this time. Right now is just a waiting game. For anyone that would like to donated, please click on the link below.
