Help Izzy Represent USA in Sweden
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Izzy Knospe I am 15 years old. I have been playing soccer since I was 3. I am on a club team called NJ14. NJ14 has created an international super team that has accepted girls from all over the USA who will travel to Sweden for a youth version of the World Cup, called the Gothia Cup. I am so proud to have been selected to play for NJ14 and represent the USA in this tournament, which is next month! There will be around 1700 teams from 80 nations playing in the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweeden.
Over the years, a lot of blood, sweat and tears have gone into my soccer career. I have learned and overcome so much with soccer being a part of my life, like the importance of being a great teammate, following directions and being coachable, and being strong and confident in myself. I have made sacrifices like skipping birthdays, parties, hanging out with my friends, concerts and even school events for games and tournaments. I would never be here today either without the most influential coaches who coached me starting in Fair Lawn with my select coach, Jay DiBisceglie who was great at showing me how to be tough on the field, Natalie Wilson from PSA who challenged me on my technical skills, field awareness, and my understanding of the game, and last but not least, my current crew at NJ14, Ashley Denti and Kori Washington who have tapped into my potential, given me more opportunities to experience higher level competition, built my trust in my teammates and taught me how to be a leader.
I know this is an amazing opportunity for me, one that I will never take for granted. My parents have always supported me in my activities, and this is no exception. They will not tell me what the total cost is, but I know it is a lot! They just always tell me that we will figure it out. With that said, in order for me to go and ease the financial burden, I am asking for donations to help my family with this large expense.
So please help me raise $2500 that will help support, what I consider, my biggest accomplishment to date. Your donation will be immensely appreciated.
