Hey folks !
Saying hi today with a fun reason in mind.
This post is hidden from my friend Vicki Hildreth.
She has been one of the greatest blessings and friends of my life.
I know with all the mutual friends we have - that most of you reading this will feel the same way.
To mention just a few of the things Vicki has done for me could take pages ...... but right off I can think of when she drove a hour to pick me up on the side of the road when I ran out of gas, sent me random presents in the mail to cheer me up, let me stay at her house any time I needed over the years, rescued Bunji from boarding, helped me move, and the list goes on and on. She is a incredible friend.
I have been with her when she ran errands late at night and bought food for homeless people, bought coffee and donuts for construction workers in the heat and cold, sent money to, and coordinated projects for needy people she did not even know ( esp children )..... the list is never ending.
( This is not counting her work at our state EMS office where she strives daily to improve the quality of patient care, education for providers, and resources for the general public. )
She strives to do everything she is a part of 110%, and then some.
She has three dogs that are her family.
Krunchy has recently been diagnosed with Bells Palsy, and has had a sudden decline in health, as well as a increase in vet visits and required meds.
Charlie ( the boss ! ) has to receive insulin twice daily.
The matriarch and smallest is Izzy. She has lost her eye sight due to advanced cataracts. Vicki has to lift her on and off the couch, and guide her walking around by voice. Izzy s day to day has became smaller and scarier for her since loosing her sight.
Vicki recently took her to The Animal Eye Institute - where she was evaluated. She is a good candidate for surgery, and regaining her eye sight, with a price tag of $4,300.
( Vicki her self has severe back pain and issues that she is supposed to be receiving care / surgery for at Cleveland Clinic, that she has put on hold to be able to care for her fur family. )
If we could all pitch in a couple dollars towards towards a fund for Izzy ‘s surgery
- it would be a incredible way to give a little of the love back to Miss Vicki that she puts out in the universe every single day.
