Help Izzy and Benjamin beat Wiskott!

Donation protected
My name is Caitlin Puckett, I am reaching out to the community, friends, family and colleagues of Jeimy and B.J. Puckett Sr. to offer support during their medical journey with their son, Benjamin Jr. and their daughter, Izzy.
Shortly before his 2nd birthday, Benjamin Jr. was diagnosed with Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome. Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome is a rare genetic and immunodeficiency disorder. It prevents the body’s immune system from properly protecting against infections and reduces the ability to form blood clots. Babies and children with Wiskott-Aldrich experience abnormal bleeding episodes, more frequent infections, and eczema. The only permament cure for Wiskott is a bone marrow transplant. It involves giving the child new immune stem cells from a donor, allowing their bone marrow to produce healthy, long-lasting immune cells. His big sister Izzy, 8 years old, is an exact match and is courageously donating her bone marrow to her brother. She truly is a superhero!
Benjamin Jr. will be admitted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta on May 12th where he will begin chemotherapy in preparation to receive his new bone marrow. On May 20th, Izzy will go into the hospital for the bone marrow extraction and that same day she will stand by her brother's side for the transplant. To ensure the procedure is successful, Benjamin Jr. will remain in the hospital for an extended period of time so the doctors and nurses can carefully monitor his progress. Because of this, his mother, Jeimy, has decided to take a leave of absence from work for at least 6 months in order to be there with him every step of the way. His father, B.J. Sr., will still be working but will be in rotation at the hospital as much as possible as well as taking care of Izzy.
Jeimy and B.J. Sr. need to be present for their children and each other without having to worry about bills, mortgage payments, food, gas or just everday expenses while their babies are fighting this disease together. I can't imagine what they will be facing on a daily basis during this stressful time.
