Hello, my name is Brooke DuBois & I am trying to raise money to help my 23yr old son, Izaiah. This is the present scenerio that brought me here:

My sons legs have been troubling him for awhile now. He has experienced many differnet pains from achy, sharp, bruising, to cracking. Especially when he walks but even when he sits or lays down. This pain has been increasingly painful over the past 3 months. To the point where he can barely walk, it hurts to sit, and gravely disrupts his sleep. The quality of his life has decreased dramatically.

Izaiah has been to his Dr and to the ER for this issue to no avail. Two weeks ago I talked him into going to the ER again. They gave him Xrays, again, & this time they discovered he has Avascular Necrosis (AVN) of the hips. AVN is when your bones die due to lack of blood supply. The ER immediately set him up with an Orthopedic Surgeon. The OS wanted to see him ASAP so last Monday there we were... looking at Xrays of my sons completely collapsed hips. He is already in Stage 4 of AVN and needs total hip replacement surgeries at the age of 23. Why the prior xrays didn't show this is beyond me. Then again, this happening to a healthy 23yr old is very uncommon. The surgeon was able to get Izaiah into surgery for his right hip this Wed 6.14.2023. His left hip will be operated on in early August. It is miraculous they are able to get him in so fast. So his journey toward healing may begin.

Izaiah will be missing work for a minimum of 15 weeks. This is the part where I am asking for help. He has a wonderful and understanding employer. His work offers short term disability but, it is not even close to what he needs to just pay his monthly bills. Nor does it cover him for 15wks.

The money raised here will solely go towards Izaiah's medical expenses, rent, monthly bills, & emergencies.

I have never done anything like this before. My expectations are nonexistent. All I do know is that I am not too proud to ask for help when it is needed. And my son could really use some help right now. I appreciate anything, no amount is too small. I sincerely thank you, from the bottom of my heart! I promise I will pay this kindness you provide forward.

Side Note: Izaiah has met the 1st goal. I am amazed with all this generosity. I raised his goal in hopes to raise enough money to reach his Health Insurance deductible.
