My sister Iza’s dog, Titus, was recently diagnosed with lymphoma (cancer). He’s her best friend, her adventure buddy, her emotional support and has been by her side for the past eight years. If you know Iza, you know how much love and care she pours into everyone around her. Titus has been her rock through some of the hardest chapters in her life, and now he needs our help.
The vet gave us reason to hope: with treatment, many dogs—around 90%—go into remission and can have 1–3 more good years. But the cost is overwhelming: $7,000 upfront for chemo, plus $800/month for ongoing medication and care. As a yoga instructor, Iza doesn’t have the resources to cover it alone—but she’s determined to try everything she can to save her best friend.
Titus is truly one of a kind. If you’ve met him, you know he’s wicked smart, loyal, funny, with just a dash of sassiness and pettiness (in the best way). He and Iza are inseparable, from quiet mornings at home to a cross-country road trip through Canada and into Ohio, he’s been by her side every step of the way. Their bond is something special, rooted in unconditional love, and a reminder of the beautiful connection between people and their animals.
