In Loving Memory of Alfre

As many of you may have heard, our beloved father, Alfre, tragically lost his life on Saturday night. To everyone who has reached out with love, prayers, and support—thank you. Your kindness has been a source of strength for our family during this unimaginable time.

His daughters, Ixchel and Metzli, will be holding a Celebration of Life on May 13th, 2025, from 5:00–10:00 PM at the home of Ixchel and Keene in Sanford, NC. All who knew and loved Alfre are welcome to join us in honoring his life surrounded by community enjoying his favorite music, food and stories.

Alfre was a devoted father, grandfather and a beacon of light to all who knew him. He dreamed of returning home to reunite with his family after 20 years of separation and to start a business that fulfilled his love for art and food, aiming to inspire underrepresented children to create with a gentle guide and share his culinary passion through his delicious dishes that showed many the hidden tastes of CDMX.

We are now seeking support to bring our father home to rest, allowing our family the opportunity to heal together. Funds will also assist with the challenges of cross-country relocation and help fulfill Alfre’s dream of uniting his family and community through his passions.

If you have any memories or stories of Alfre, we would be grateful if you shared them with us. Your words continue to illuminate the profound impact he had on so many lives.

En Memoria Amorosa de Alfre

Como muchos ya saben, nuestro querido padre, Alfre, perdió trágicamente la vida la noche del sábado. A todos los que nos han brindado amor, oraciones y apoyo: gracias. Su amabilidad ha sido una fuente de fortaleza para nuestra familia en este momento inimaginable.

Sus hijas, Ixchel y Metzli, organizarán una Celebración de Vida el 13 de mayo de 2025, de 5:00 a 10:00 p.m., en la casa de Ixchel y Keene en Sanford, Carolina del Norte. Todos los que conocieron y amaron a Alfre son bienvenidos a unirse a nosotros para honrar su vida, rodeados de comunidad, disfrutando de su música favorita, comida y recuerdos compartidos.

Alfre fue un padre y abuelo devoto, y una luz para todos los que lo conocieron. Soñaba con regresar a casa para reunirse con su familia después de 20 años de separación y comenzar un negocio que combinara su amor por el arte y la comida, con el objetivo de inspirar a niños marginados a crear con una guía amable y compartir su pasión culinaria a través de sus deliciosos platillos que mostraban a muchos los sabores ocultos de la Ciudad de México.

Ahora buscamos apoyo para llevar a nuestro padre a casa para descansar, permitiendo que nuestra familia tenga la oportunidad de sanar juntos. Los fondos también ayudarán con los desafíos de la reubicación a través del país y ayudarán a cumplir el sueño de Alfre de unir a su familia y comunidad a través de sus pasiones.
