Meet Ivy, a resilient girl who has survived more than most and still loves with her whole heart.

She came into our lives after being found abandoned on the streets of Scarborough. When the Humane Society took her in, they discovered she had a fractured skull and an extreme fear of men and brooms, something we discovered with great confusion. Unfortunately they were signs that she likely endured abuse early in life.

Despite everything, Ivy grew into the sweetest soul you could ever meet.

She is kind and gentle with children.

She is deeply loyal and protective of her family.

When you pet her, she presses her whole body into you, like she wants you both to feel every bit of the moment.

She plays lovingly with her sisters Maisie and Harley, a 13lbs yorkiepoo and a 5lbs chihuahua.

But Ivy is sick.

She has severe chronic allergies. Without medication and specialized food, her body reacts painfully. She scratches until she bleeds, loses fur in raw patches, cries through restless nights, and lives in constant discomfort instead of peace.

She does not understand why her skin hurts.

She only knows relief when she is medicated, and pain when she is not.

Ivy requires ongoing medical care to manage her allergies. Every month, she receives Cytopoint injections to control the intense itching and inflammation that cause her pain. She also needs specialized food and skincare to prevent allergic flare ups and keep her skin stable.

These are not temporary expenses. This is lifelong care she will need to stay comfortable and healthy.

As a family, we cannot carry the cost of her care.

Without support, we are at risk of losing access to her medication.

Every donation contributes to another month where her life does not hurt.

With help, we can give Ivy comfort instead of pain, consistency instead of uncertainty, and the chance to grow old in the home that she knows.

As painful as it is to consider, without sufficient funding, Ivy will have to be rehomed in the new year.

To her, this will not feel like a practical decision or a simple move. It will feel like loss. Like she was too much. Like love ran out.

She has already been abandoned once. We refuse to let her believe she deserves that again.

We do not want her to become another statistic. She deserves softness for the rest of her life.
